One Year in Paradise

Living in California has always been a dream of mine since as far back as I can remember.  I spent many a summer nights under the California Stars putting together the plans for my life.  My fathers father was a hero figure for me and I am grateful for the magic he instilled in my heart.  Life with him was an awesome fairy tale adventure and I have carried the sparkle he left with me in my pocket.

My grandpa Bob had a home in Palm Desert and together we would recite the stars and he would explain to me their mystical meanings and movement patterns.  The stars captivate me each time I remember to take a deep breath and just look up at night, when all is dark!  Grandpa Bob also had a house on the river in Lake Havasu and I believe the time on the water with him also instilled a great connection to being on boats and on the water for me.

I spent 31 years in Utah and the last year in the paradise known as Laguna Beach, California.  For my 30th birthday I went on an adventure on my own.  I flew into LA on a flight that changed my life, rented a car, and took a journey from Orange County, to Santa Monica, to Santa Cruz and ended in Santa Rosa at the beautiful estate known as the Fisher Vineyard, home of Unity wine.  It was on this serendipitous trip that I realized I would soon be fulfilling a lifelong dream, to live in California.

This Blog is dedicated to my Grandpa Bob for believing in me and teaching me that we are capable of creating unimaginable things as long as we believe.
